A A A of ENGLAND AGM

SATURDAY 18^th MARCH 2006

Warwickshire County A A Officers are working closely with John GRAVES – Interim Chair, West Midlands Region, England Athletics. We therefore draw your attention to John’s letter sent to clubs re the A A A of England’s AGM on 18^th March

Please register YOUR VOTE, and with the AGM falling on the same day as the Warwickshire Open Road Relays, our Treasurer, Stewart Barnes has agreed to attend the meeting and act as your Proxy, if required. Again let’s play a part in taking the sport forward by registering YOUR VOTE!

1 The Inter Counties Cross Country Championships, Saturday 11^th March, Wollaton Park, Nottingham. A big day for our ten teams, who want YOUR SUPPORT round the course.

Saturday 11^th March – INTER COUNTIES CROSS COUNTRY – Nottingham

Sunday 12^th March – INTER COUNTIES RACE WALKS – Coventry

Saturday 18^th March – WARWICKSHIRE CAA ROAD RELAYS – Sutton Park

Sunday 19^th March – INTER COUNTIES 10km ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS –

Eastleigh, Hampshire

Sunday 2^nd April – INTER COUNTIES HALF MARATHON – Ackworth, Yorkshire.

3 The Track and Field Championships

Saturday 13^th and Sunday 14^th May, in conjunction with Leicestershire & Rutland AA. Details and entry forms are about to be posted on the website.

4 This is an extremely busy period for Warwickshire County A A. An agenda for the GENERAL MEETING at Coventry Godiva Headquarters on WEDNESDAY 9^th MARCH has been circulated, Needed – your attendance and support

5 Grant Applications

At the moment unattached levies permit us to provide grants to worthy initiatives. WE WELCOME LETTERS OF APPLICATION, according to the flexible criteria set down.

6 Officials Courses

Saturday 1^st April – LEVEL 1 – Coventry Godiva Headquarters – 10am – 3pm Some funding has been made available for the course, applications to Margery EWINGTON (02476 314990) She is looking for a good response.

LEVEL 2 Our Officials Secretary is also trying to arrange a course prior to the forthcoming Track & Field Outdoor season. WATCH FOR FURTHER INFORMATION!!
