INTER-COUNTIES CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPS

WOLLATON PARK – NOTINGHAM

SATURDAY 5th FEBRUARY


A strong Warwickshire contingent produced our best overall results for many years. Congratulations to all of our teams and their managers.

Most of our teams are improving and there is a good possibility that they will all finish in the top ten next year. We are establishing ourselves as a top six county overall.

We hope you all enjoyed the day and will be keen to return for even more success next year.


Senior Men

Champions – a tremendous effort

1st Glynn Tromans (Cov.G) winner for a record 5th time

4th Steffan White (Cov.G) making a welcome return, also selected for Worlds.

6th James Walsh (Leam.) reserve for Worlds and what a finish to a great winter for James.

Excellent support from Mark Miles (19th), Garry Blackman (23rd), Henry Hammond (89th), Olly Harradence (117th) and John Muddeman (162nd).


U17 Men

1st Lee Carey (Nun.) following up with another title when winning the English Schools 7 days later.


Team Results

Sen. Men - 1st

U20 Men - 9th with a young team.

U17 Men - 11th and only 65 points behind 4th place.

U15 Boys - 7th

U13 Boys - 16th

U20 Women – failed to finish a team but well done to the three brave girls who battled it out.

U17 Women - 5th and only 39 points behind 2nd place.

U15 Girls - 6th

U13 Girls - 11th.

In all we had twelve top 20 finishers.
